The Basics
+ My full name is Aeryn Eliza Brown, and my nicknames are Ezza and Ez.
+ Ezza is the typical nickname in Australia for girls and women named Erin (no matter how it's spelled).
+ Ez is the short form of my main nickname and is mostly used to sign comments I post on LiveJournal and Dreamwidth, along with the odd email.
+ I'm 38 years old. I was born on
June 5 1984.
+ I was born in Wollongong, New
South Wales, Australia, in a suburb called Warrawong, and
currently live just a couple of suburbs away in Berkeley.
+ I'm a dual Australian-British
citizen – Australian because my mother is Australian and because I
was born here, and British by descent owing to my father and my
paternal grandparents being from the United Kingdom.
+ I identify as a biromantic asexual
– I'm capable of romantic, platonic and aesthetic attraction
toward men, women and non-binary people (mostly women), but not
sexual.

I'm an atheist, and have identified as such since January 2000.
+ I'm disabled - I have major
depressive disorder and social anxiety disorder, I experience
migraines, and (due to the high cost of formal assessment) am
self-diagnosed as autistic.

I'm a graduate of the University of Technology Sydney - I hold a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a major of
Information and Media, qualifying me as a librarian, and am
currently studying for a Master of Information Studies
(specialising in Records and Archives Management) at Charles Sturt
University. My eventual career goal is to become an archivist.
+ I'm an avid photographer, and
own four cameras – two compact digitals (a Panasonic Lumix
DMC-FH1, and a Canon IXUS 190), a Canon EOS 1100D DSLR, and a
Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 instant camera. I also use my iPod Touch
and my mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy A8, for photography on
occasion.
